    Join Sara Merritt, Director of Education at Reiman Gardens in Ames, for a peek into Iowa’s only university botanical garden. Learn more about the 17 acre public garden, from the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing and tropical Hughes Conservatory to the many programs, events, and unique garden displays featured in 2022. Includes a special preview of the Lewis and Art Exhibition featuring outdoor sculptures made from recycled materials on display from mid-April through early October.     Iowa Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Dean Davis
    Dean started playing drums at 12 years old. At the age of 14 he started playing in bands and has been playing ever since. Some of the more notable bands were West Minst’r, Locust, Chance, Zero Ted Band, and Wheelhouse. Dean has been playing drums on church worship teams since 1988 in Hermosa Beach, CA, and Fort Dodge. In 2002 he was inducted into the Iowa Music Association Rock n Roll Hall of Fame with West Minst’r. In 2018 he was inducted again with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Chaplain, Lt. Colonel Stephen Peters
    Chaplain Peters is the Wing Chaplain for the 185th Air Refueling Wing, Air National Guard, Sioux City. He is responsible for pastoral care duties for all Wing members, their families, and civilian personnel and their families as needed and assigned. He is also the Squadron Chaplain for the 133rd Test Squadron, Air National Guard, Fort Dodge. Chaplain Peters is a member of the Air Refueling Wing Commander’s staff and advises the Commander on all matters affecting the spiritual needs, moral welfare, and morale of the unit. As a special treat, he will bring his therapy dog, Hope!

    Webster County Detectives Tom Steck and Amy Stringer
    Detective Steck and Stringer will talk about drug and human tafficking in Webster County. Tom worked 12 years with the Fort Dodge Police Department before joining the Webster County Sheriff’s office as a detective. He is a member of the Central Iowa Gang Task Force with the FBI. Amy was a gang officer with the Dodge City, KS, Police Department before becoming a general crimes detective and evidence technician with eh Webster County Sheriff’s office.
