The Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass program allows library patrons to use their card to check out passes to attractions in Iowa. Note: this is only available to patrons over 18 who are residents of Fort Dodge, Otho, Barnum, or rural Webster County with a library account in good standing.
Visit the Adventure Pass page and browse the passes for the venue and date you’d like. Once you find the place and the date of your choice, follow the on screen prompts to reserve the pass. You will need to use your library card number (the page calls it a bar code) and PIN (the last 4 numbers of your library card). Print the confirmation page of your reservation and present that at the doors along with a valid photo ID to gain access to the venue. The name on your confirmation page and your ID must match.
Unless otherwise noted, each pass is for 2 adults and 2 children. Anyone else joining you will have to pay regular admission.
The Fort Dodge Public Library offers passes for:
- Science Center of Iowa, Des Moines
- Reiman Gardens, Ames–2 adults and 4 children from same household
- Blank Park Zoo, Des Moines
- Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens, Des Moines
- Des Moines Children’s Museum, West Des Moines–4 people
You can reserve one pass per venue every 365 days.
Contact us the day before your reservation and we can cancel it for you. If you do not, you will have to wait another year before reserving a pass for that venue again. Please make sure the venue will be open the day you are reserving.
