What is the Lucky Day Collection?
The Lucky Day Collection is a collection of highly popular books that are available for immediate check-out. If you find a book on the Lucky Day display, you can immediately check it out even when there are multiple holds on the “regular” copy of the book. In other words, it’s your “Lucky Day!”
Things to Know:
- Lucky Day books can be checked out for three (3) weeks.
- Titles in the Lucky Day Collection are not listed in the catalog and holds are not allowed on Lucky Day copies.
- Renewals are not allowed on Lucky Day books. We want as many readers as possible to enjoy these titles.
- Lost or damaged Lucky Day books are treated like a regular book.
If you already have the book on hold in your library account, it’s your Lucky Day! You don’t have to cancel your hold but you have the option to do so as a courtesy to other people who are waiting for the book. You can ask a staff member to cancel your hold, log into your library account online to do it, or cancel it from your myLIBRO app.
